ElaadNL supports the use of data analytics in order to facilitate a smooth transition towards green mobility. ElaadNL uses data analytics to achieve their primary goal of facilitating and supporting the stakeholders and initiatives. Data analytics provide ElaadNL with the insight into the current and future developments regarding the crossroads of energy and electric mobility systems.
Our approach is to conduct research in collaboration with the grid operators and research institutes. The data analyses focus on EV charging behaviour, charging infrastructure and the impact on the Dutch energy system. The activities are grouped in two categories: Projects and Scientific research.
There are many projects within ElaadNL and the Living Lab Smart Charging where data analytics plays a vital role. Our data analysts work on projects such as TKI I and TKI II, Invade and FlexPower Amsterdam. Data is being measured, collected, stored, analysed and visualised in order to provide the insight and tooling required for grid operators to create a future proof electricity grid and make Smart Charging the new standard.
We also provide a monthly Trend Monitor where we summarize the main developments in the world of electric vehicles and (Smart) charging. A list of all the historical trend monitors can be found here. The Trend Monitor is in Dutch.
Apart from project support our data analysts are involved in scientific research. Our research has been published in scientific journals and presented at several conferences around the world. Below is a list of scientific publications in academic journals and conference journals. More information regarding the publications and how they contribute to our mission can be found here.
In order to properly execute our research we collaborate with high profile institutes around the world. We do so in several research projects but also as a member in the EV Policy Council.
