Save the date: June 10 & 11th Power Quality Online Event

Electric vehicles, DC fast charging stations and other devices with converters such as wind turbines and solar panels: the electricity grid has a lot of new traffic from energy consumers and suppliers. How do we maintain the quality of our supply voltage and prevent disturbances?

This will be the central theme during the second edition of the Global EV Charging Test event, the Power Quality edition on June 10 and 11. Because of the corona virus, we are organizing a webinar instead of a physical event, as planned originally. In the future we hope to meet you in person.

You are cordially invited to participate in the Power Quality webinar!

During this two-day international webinar, we will discuss the impact of ‘large’ devices - such as electric vehicles, DC fast charging stations, heat pumps and sustainable energy generators - on the power quality of the grid. The energy demand or supply of these devices can result in so-called ‘supraharmonic’ disturbances, emitted currents with frequencies in the range of 2 kHz to 150 kHz, which can have an impact on the grid and all connected devices.

What can you expect?

  • Keynote speech by one of the leading experts in Power Quality worldwide and founder of PSL labs: Alex McEachern.
  • Presentations by leading experts and researchers, from the Lulea and Eindhoven Universities of Technology, Europe’s largest electricity producer EDF and world renowned testing organization KEMA Labs, in the field of Power Quality and specifically supraharmonic disturbances.
  • Insight into the effects of supraharmonic disturbances on the grid and on other devices.
  • Opportunity to ask targeted questions to the experts and network with a variety of people and organizations during the webinar.

We would like to invite you to this free webinar. Your colleagues are welcome too! Forward this invitation if you think they are interested in the topics mentioned above.
