ElaadNL will host a new online event regarding Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for ISO 15118. This event is a follow-up to the very successful meeting in the Johan Cruijff Stadium in Amsterdam on September 27th 2019. Due to the current situation and because we have noticed a lot of attention for this topic, we have decided to make it an open online event.
A charging infrastructure that is smart and secure is crucial for the success of electric transport. In 2018 ElaadNL studied the ISO 15118 standard for communication between electric vehicle and charging station. The publication ‘Exploring the Public Key Infrastructure for ISO 15118 in the EV Charging Ecosystem’ explains how the ISO 15118 protocol works and conclude that the standard can help to take the next step in smart charging through the ease of use by Plug&Charge, secure digital communication and by adding user information to the EV ecosystem. ElaadNL advocates an open system to accomplish this.
During the session at the Johan Cruijff Stadium we have gathered many insights from a lot of different people, angles and industries. ElaadNL is excited to give an update and to prepare for the next steps.
The webinar will take place on July 16th 2020 and will give a status update on the developments surrounding an open and interoperable PKI ecosystems for ISO 15118. The webinar will consist of two similar sessions to reach as many people possible around the globe. Along with the presentations, there will be room for questions and discussion. Please join us!
