Over the years ElaadNL has been initiator of several organisations.
Starting in 2009 the E-laad Foundation established a network of more than 3,000 public charging stations for electric cars across the Netherlands. In 2014 the foundation split up its activities into two separate platforms: ElaadNL and EVnetNL. EVnetNL is now responsible for managing the existing charging points together with municipal partners.
Living Lab Smart Charging
Living Lab Smart Charging is an open platform in which parties collaborate on the energy system of the future. At increasingly greater scales they test how to improve Smart Charging applications. In doing so they focus on innovation and sharing knowledge, and support others with the development of new projects where needed. This can all lead to new products and services from market parties. Living Lab Smart Charging does this in the Netherlands, and also internationally.
Open Charge Alliance
Open Charge Alliance (OCA) is a global consortium of public and private electric vehicle infrastructure leaders that have come together to promote open standards through the adoption of the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) and the Open Smart Charging Protocol (OSCP). OCA provides powerful, open and interoperable communication protocols for the electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Protocols which support all the functionality needed by today’s advanced charge management systems.
